Nexelem, an innovative brand, is embarking on a groundbreaking research project in the realm of manufacturing engineering. This endeavor is generously funded by European Funds through the Operational Programme Smart Growth 2014-2020, aimed at advancing R&D projects within enterprises. Under Submeasure 1.1.1 – Industrial research and development work carried out by enterprises, Nexelem has undertaken an ambitious initiative titled “Development of a graphical model for production-logistics processes and holistic optimization methods for the supply chain of flexographic industry enterprises.”
The primary objective of this project is to introduce a product innovation in the form of a cutting-edge system designed to optimize production-logistics processes within flexographic industry enterprises. This innovative system promises comprehensive solutions to address planning challenges associated with production and internal supply chains, encompassing aspects such as raw material procurement, internal logistics, and production scheduling. Importantly, Nexelem’s solution will be available as software that seamlessly integrates with existing systems through APIs, ensuring adaptability and efficiency.
Anticipated outcomes of this venture include the enhancement of sales revenue through the reduction of order fulfillment times, the streamlining of supply chain operations by aligning material procurement with real-time production demands, and the accelerated execution of orders via dynamic production scheduling driven by actual demand and performance data.
